Meet the Team - Neil Reynolds
Meet Neil Reynolds, Head of Finance at Camwood

Neil is the Head of Finance here at Camwood. Neil is responsible for managing the overall finance function of the company, from ensuring that accounting records are kept appropriately, to preparing financial reports, managing payroll, analysing financial data, and owning the budgeting process from a number’s perspective. It is a busy role that has day-to-day interaction with all areas of the business from Operations to Sales.

Where were you before you worked at Camwood?

Before joining Camwood I had worked within the IT sector for 10+ years with my last 2 roles working for a small data storage and AV distributor, before that a large global IT services and solutions reseller. My first finance role was working for Transport for London and was just the start of my career many moons ago.

Why did you join the Camwood team?

I joined Camwood because I wanted to be part of an exciting and agile business that was growing quickly but at the same time wanted to make a difference. I could tell at my interview that the owners were passionate and driven about the business and I wanted to bring not only my skill set but also my passion and determination to help with the journey.

What excites you most about working at Camwood?

I am excited to be part of a highly motivated and driven team that works together here at Camwood. The business is always looking to stay ahead of the curve and can do so because it is agile and therefore can pivot and evolve quickly. I have been working here for almost 3 years and am still excited about working here, if not more so than when I fired up the laptop for the first time!

How do you think Camwood is different from other managed service providers?

Camwood stands out from the crowd because it has a fantastic customer-focused team all striving to deliver an excellent service for our partners and customers. The team is open to new ideas and is small enough to be able to implement change quickly, which can be a source of competitive advantage compared to other providers.

What unique skill do you bring to the Camwood team?

I believe that I am a good people person (that is unusual for an accountant I hear you say…) and can communicate financial reports and processes to non-financial people well. Numbers can be fairly dry so if I can put a smile on someone’s face or give them a “lightbulb” moment, that makes me happy.
