Bal is one of the Business Development Managers here at Camwood. He is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our customers as well as working with our partner network to promote our services to new organisation’s. Bal works with businesses to understand their challenges and to help them to achieve their end goals alongside our technical team.
Where were you before you worked at Camwood?
Before joining Camwood and the IT and Managed Services sector, I worked in Event Management, specifically international Formula 1 events. When I relocated back to the UK I joined an IT Service Management Company as a Business Development Manager where I worked with large enterprises helping them to streamline their IT processes. After a successful 2.5 years, I wanted to progress my career to the next level and find a more challenging role in a fast-paced organisation with good energy, and where I felt I could make a real impact.
Why did you join the Camwood team?
I joined Camwood because of the people. I remember speaking with our CEO, Chris, during my interview and we discussed what we thought the most important factors of the workplace are and we both said people simultaneously. It was apparent to me that I would not just be an employee within Camwood, but someone who could contribute to the entire business vision and goal.
What excites you most about working at Camwood?
The fact we really make a difference for our customers day to day working. 2020 was a year of huge change in our professional and personal lives and businesses needed to adapt quickly to facilitate secure remote work and connectivity between employees whilst working from home. We also saw a huge increase in security and compliance-based projects which was really interesting to work on.
How do you think Camwood is different to other managed service providers?
We are different because we have clever automation behind our managed services, we do not simply repeat what our client was doing, we install our proprietary software which enables us to automate the mundane processes which take the client days we can do within minutes. All of this is being overseen and managed by our expert application and modern workplace team.
What unique skill do you bring to the Camwood team?
I like to think that I am great at building relationships with new customers and people. I like to build a rapport with them and truly understand their problems rather than aggressively sell the Camwood services to them. This people-first approach is a unique skill I bring to the Camwood team.
