Mike began his career in the IT industry in 1995 and currently sits on the board of a number of technology companies that he either founded or supports through his early stage investment arm. His recent successes include the trade sale of Norskale, End User Management specialists to a US Software company in Sep 2016 returning over 28x to investors.
Mike has experience in growing & mentoring management teams to help them achieve their strategic goals with an emphasis on investing & growth capital, sales, finance & operations.
In 2008 Mike was Founder & CEO of AppDNA where he was responsible for all areas of the business, growing the company from a 2 person start-up to employing over 90 people & operating in 5 countries, selling in over 25 and eventually leading the sale of the business to Citrix in November 2011 for $100m a 32x multiple. Following the acquisition Mike served as General Manager & Vice President AppDNA where he supported the integration for 12 months.
Prior to this, Mike was Founder & CEO of Camwood, an application management consultancy company, which today is still regarded at the pre-eminent company for supporting some of the worlds largest companies application management & migration strategies. Mike still remains a major shareholder & Chairman of the Board.
He also was a client director for GE Capital ITS, and before joining General Electric held various sales leadership positions following a very early career in washing dishes in a German ski resort to learn the native language and snowboard.
Mike attended the University of Brighton, UK where he studied business & finance and microprocessor and computer architecture.
